Radio City announces season five of Musical-E-Azam

radio_city_Musical-E-Azam logoMumbai: ‘Musical-E-Azam’, the biggest musical fest on radio is back on Radio City 91.1 FM. Season 5 of Musical-E-Azam, starting on the 28th of January, is themed around ‘double dhamaal’ this year with a heady cocktail of two renowned singers gracing each episode. To be broadcast live across 20 cities, ‘Musical-E-Azam’ makes the day for our listeners as their favorite singers sing their popular tracks exclusively on Radio City 91.1 FM.

Salim–Suleiman, KK-Udit Narayan, Sajid-wajid, Roop Kumar Rathore-Sunidhi Chauhan, Adnan Sami – the list just goes on and on. All these singers grace ‘Musical-E-Azam’ during the morning show ‘Kasa Kai Mumbai’ with RJ Salil and RJ Archana.

Known as ‘Musical Durbar’ in all the south markets, the show marks a grander return. Bangalore boasts of a list as impressive, with ‘Filmfare’ winner Nandita, LN Shastry, MD Pallavi amongst other renowned singers. While Hyderabad brings Telegu biggies like Sunil Kashyap of ‘Dil Kabaddi’ fame, Hema Chandra, Kausalya on ‘Music Durbar’, Chennai wows with Aalap Raju, Shwetha Mohan, Suchith Sureshan among others.

Speaking on the new edition of Musical-E-Azam,  Kartik Kalla, National Programming Head, Radio City 91.1 FM, says, “Musical-e-Azam is one of our tent-pole properties and highlights our expertise on music. Season 5 of ‘Musical-E-Azam’ will be broadcast in cities like Mumbai,Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Pune, Nagpur & Rest of Maharashtra. South markets including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, & Vizag will tuning in live to ‘Musical Durbar’ every morning. Besides enjoying the unplugged songs by the artists, listeners can also call in to request special songs.
