Mass fire disrupts services of some private FM stations in Delhi

New Delhi:In an unfortunate incident, North - West Delhi Pitampura area 200 meter high television tower caught fire on Saturday night disrupting the signals of Radio Mirchi, Delhi.

Cables which connect the transmitters to the aerials were badly damaged in the fire due to which the services of Radio Mirchi and other stations have been affected.

Sachin Tagra, Sr. Vice President, Radio Mirchi said, “We are taking all necessary steps to restore the services to the listeners as soon as possible. We are hoping that our station would be live on-air within next few days.”

As per the fire officials, the blaze was reported from the TV Tower around 10:30 pm and fifteen fire tenders were rushed to douse the flame

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained
