Silicon Valley-based ZEDO Inc, the leading ad server for New Internet websites and the third largest ad serving company in the world recently appointed Joseph Jacob as ZEDO’s Chief Technology Officer.
Based in San Francisco, Joseph Jacob will be responsible for driving ZEDO’s (and effectively the Internet advertising industry’s) next generation technology – focusing on innovative targeting, serving and managing advertising inventory for web publishers, social networks, advertisers and ad networks. Well respected in the Internet advertising business, Joseph will draw on his engineering teams in the US, India and Russia and look at increasing the teams’ capacity substantially. Joseph’s technical excellence and belief in the need for pertinent real time data, analytics and dashboards are examples of key areas that he has focused on to revamp ZEDO’s technology offerings recently. The revamp resulted in widespread industry acclaim last year.
Joseph believes that, “given the current environment web publishers are in need of technologies and offerings to immediately increase their revenue. This is therefore a great time for innovation in new engaging ad formats. At ZEDO we have very strong technical teams. As CTO, I now plan to focus them on analytics, optimization tools, new unique ad formats and on other solutions that will increase revenue.”
Prior to his promotion, Joseph served as the Vice President of Technology at ZEDO. He oversaw the design, plan, and operation of ZEDO’s technology platform.
Joseph holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from Kerala University. He has over fifteen years of work experience at various high profile technology organizations. Prior to joining ZEDO in 2000, Joseph worked for the Mobile Computing and Workstation Technology divisions of Hewlett Packard and at the X Consortium in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
