Wrigley signs up Deepika Padukone as brand ambassador

The world’s largest sugar-free chewing gum brand, Wrigley’s Orbit has announced its association with youth icon and Bollywood’s biggest Gen-next star Deepika Padukone as its brand ambassador. For the first time in India, Wrigley’s Orbit sugar-free chewing gum will partner with a film actor to promote oral health benefits.

It is clinically proven that Wrigley’s Orbit sugar-free chewing gum helps fight tooth decay and reduces harmful plaque acids. It recently became the first and only gum brand to receive the trusted ‘Seal of Acceptance’ from the Indian Dental Association (IDA).

Announcing Deepika Padukone as Brand Ambassador for Orbit sugar-free chewing gum, the company spokesperson said, “Deepika’s association with Orbit® sugar-free chewing gum will synchronise well with the brand and its objectives. We believe that this association would help us achieve widespread awareness about the importance of oral care and the benefits of chewing Orbit sugar-free chewing gum.”

Commenting on this association, Deepika Padukone said, “I am proud to be associated with Orbit sugar-free chewing gum, which is a convenient and portable way to help maintain and improve oral health anytime, anywhere – at home, in the car and during shoots.”

Orbit sugar-free chewing gum is available in 6 flavors: Spearmint, Winterfrost, Fruit, Peppermint, Clove and White. Orbit Spearmint is available in a two-rupee sachet pack which contains 2 pellets. Orbit sugar-free gum is also available in smart blister packs priced atRs 5/- and Rs 10/- and at Rs 30/- for a bottle pack.

The Company plans to leverage Deepika for its advertising campaign which will be launched in March. She will be featured in promotional materials and events and will also make appearances on behalf of Orbit sugar-free chewing gum.
