Western Union launches online ‘Singing Telegram’

Western Union is launching an interactive online platform thatallows consumers to perform a virtual duet and produce a personalised musicvideo with Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Sunidhi Chauhan or K’naan.

The Western Union Singing Telegram, created by 180 Amsterdam, enables consumers to enhance the experience of sending money to family and friends by adding a personal musical accompaniment. Users can create a Western Union Singing Telegram and select songs recorded by each performer, including:Mega-producer Timbaland performing “This Lady” and “Drummer Boy,” as the first holiday song of his career, available Dec. 1 , Somali-born musician K’naan singing “Happy Birthday” and “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” available Dec. 1 ,Bollywood-singer Sunidhi Chauhan performing “Call Me” and “Valentine” as her first songs in English, available Dec. 5 Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg performing “Oh, Pretty Woman” and “Life of the Party,” available Dec. 17.
