Forecast Earth, a weekly television program and broadband site dedicated to climate change developed by The Weather Channel has announced the second annual Forecast Earth Hot List, recognizing individuals, groups or companies that during 2007 initiated, undertook or encouraged positive action aimed at meeting the challenge of mitigating long-term global climate change.
The list was announced on The Weather Channel weekly program Forecast Earth, which is hosted by Dr. Heidi Cullen and posted to the Forecast Earth site, which will have a section dedicated to the list, online discussions and video clips of those named.
The Forecast Earth Hot List was determined by a panel of environmentalists, academics, scientists and editors from The Weather Channel and will be published annually. The 2007 Hot List exemplifies the global climate change movement during this past year and where the debate is headed.
