After launching Bindaas – a television channel for youth, UTV , according to Media Newsline Privileged sources, is in a process to set up a business news tv channel.
Sources close to UTV said the group is keen to set up a business news channel as a joint venture with ABC News. ABC News is owned by Walt Disney which already owns 14.85 percent stake in UTV.
UTV Broadcasting Ltd (UBL) has already announced to start a bouquet of channels that it will also distribute. This includes India’s first 360* Entertainment Brand for Young India and related channels called “Bindass”, a World Cinema Channel entitled “Olive TV” and a slue of other Channels to be announced soon. After the roaring success of its Kids Channel – Hungama Tv to the Number 1 position in 18 months.
