Times Now ET Now lead with 48 % combined channel share

Mumbai: Times Now with ET Now, India’s #1 Stock Market Channel continue to dominate the English news network with 48% combined market share (Source: TAM, CS AB M 25+,week 37, relative share of viewership). However, CNN IBN + CNBC TV 18 and NDTV 24X7 + NDTV Profit achieved 29% and 23% market share respectively.

TIMES NOW last week accessed documents stating that Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal was the final arbitrator in the dispute between Jayaswal Brothers, who have been named in the FIR filed for the irregularities in Coalgate. Discussions that caught attention on TIMES NOW were on topics such as, “Do you think Mamata Banerjee will withdraw over FDI in retail and the diesel/LPG hike or is this another round of posturing?” and “Should the government be commended for pushing reforms, or will timing of this decision impact the government negatively in political term.

ET NOW, on the other hand had one of the biggest voices from India Inc. who analysed the impact and shared their views when the UPA government unleashed a new round of reforms. Amongst the many to join on ET NOW was, A M Naik – Chairman of L&T, Sunil Munjal – Joint MD of Hero Moto Corp, Rahul Bhasin of Baring Private Equity Partners and Russell Napier of CLSA.

Even some policy makers that spoke exclusively to ET NOW on the Reform blueprint were Montek Singh Ahluwalia of Planning Commission and C Rangarajan of Prime Minister’s economic council.
