Mumbai: TIMES NOW along with ET NOW have continued their domination in the English news genre with combined channel share of 45 (Source: TAM, All India 1 Mn+ CS AB M 25+, Week 1, 30th Dec 2012 -5th Jan 2013 , relative share of viewership). While, CNN IBN + CNBC TV 18 and NDTV 24×7 + NDTV Profit garnered31% and 23% share respectively.
ET NOW also leads in the English business news genre with 46% market share as compared to CNBC TV 18, NDTV Profit and Bloomberg TV with 38%, 14% and 1% respectively. Five out of the top 10 shows of the genre are from ET NOW. The shows that gained top ratings are ‘Business Day’, ‘Buy Now Sell Now-weekend’, ‘All about Stocks’, ’Market sense’ and ‘D-street rewind’.
TIMES NOW on the another hand was leading with 40% market share whereas CNN IBN, NDTV 24X7 and Headlines Today were at 24%, 28% and 9% respectively. 3 out of the top 10 shows of the genre are from TIMES NOW, which include THE NEWSHOUR and NEWS NOW. With this, TIMES NOW continues to reach out to more number of viewers compared to competition.
