Both will be produced before a city court on Wednesday, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.
“We strongly condemn the arbitary
and illegal action of Delhi police in arresting its two editors and for
initiating a malicious, illegal and motivated prosecution. We wish to
reiterate that no offence has been committed by members of staff,” Zee News said in a statement .
Jindal on October 26 in a press conference had alleged that Zee TV editors attempted to negotiate a deal—tantamount to blackmail—to back off on a story .
The allegations of the alleged deal were denied by the journalists.
Both Naveen Jindal and Zee News have also filed defamation cases against each other.
