The Spikes Asia Advertising Festival has today announced the final three shortlists from this year’s awards. 96 entries have been shortlisted in the Integrated, Film Craft and Print & Poster Craft categories.
Judges have been working in Singapore to arrive at the shortlists ahead of the announcement of the winners at tonight’s Awards Ceremonies. In the last of the categories to be announced the juries have shortlisted 8 in Integrated, 41 in Film Craft and 47 in Print & Poster Craft.
Delegates are experiencing another busy day as the Festival draws to a close and culminates in the Awards Show and Afterparty this evening. A further 11 seminars are taking place throughout the day including Grey Group Asia Pacific who are talking to the internationally acclaimed Chef Bobby Chin, Hakuhodo, Draftfcb and thenetworkone who will present The Asian Independents Showcase 2011. Earlier sessions enjoyed by attendees included Campaign Asia Pacific’s interview with John Wren, President and CEO of Omnicom.
Two dedicated academies have been taking place throughout the Festival; The Spikes Academy offers 15 students from the region a unique educational programme tailored to the needs of its students whilst the new Marketers Academy offers a targeted learning programme aimed at marketers and brand managers aged 30 years and under. Both academies have also benefitted from full access to the Festival and their learning achievements will be recognised later today at dedicated graduation ceremonies.
The Spikes Asia winners will be announced and honoured at the Awards Ceremony this evening, after which delegates will have the opportunity to celebrate at the Afterparty taking place at the IndoChine Waterfront where a special performance will take place from Rudely Interrupted, Australia’s most celebrated rock band which sees five out of its six members living with disabilities.
