‘So Sorry’, the India Today Group’s pioneering animated series of politoons won two awards at the prestigious FICCI BAF Awards 2015 held in Mumbai. The series have won at the prestigious award for the second year in a row.
The two awards won were for Best Animation – Open Category for the 2nd consecutive year and the show of the Year Award.
The prestigious Best Animated Frames [BAF] Awards organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry [FICCI] recognizes the best work across various categories of Animation, Visual Effects & Gaming and sees participation from top- notch entries from across the globe spanning the biggest names in production houses, cartoon channels and others from the animation industry.
Speaking on the award, Ashish Bagga, Group CEO– India Today Group said, “This pioneering initiative from the India Today Group has created an ever growing following by redefining political satire on news television. I congratulate the team for the awards and the exceptional work done in the series”.
The ‘So Sorry’ series has already won wide acclaim by winning top honours at other Industry events including at The BCS Ratna Award 2015 for Best Politoon Series for the 2nd Consecutive Year, Gold at the 5th Asian Digital Media Awards 2014, and Indian Television Academy Awards 2014 for Best interstitial filler.
‘So Sorry’ is a an informal entertainment and graphically cutting edge show that is a lighter reflection of the Great Indian Political Tamasha which has been running through the Television channels, digital, web and mobile platforms of the India Today Group.
