Sheikh Mohammed's poems in calligraphy

Crystal Arc in cooperation with Dubai Cultural and Scientific Association and Dubai International Holy Quran Award has announced the exhibition called “Roohat Al Khat” .

A unique exhibition of Arabic calligraphy works of Khaleelullah Chemnad depict the poems of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum will begin on the first day of Ramadan at the Holy Quran Award venue at Al Mamzar.

This first of its kind, the exhibition will display calligraphy in Arabic inspired by the meaning of selected lines of Sheikh Mohammed’s poems. Khaleelullah is also displaying artistic calligraphy works portraying the works of classic Arabic poets, Imrul Qais, Antara Bin Shaddad and Abu Tayyib Ahmed Ibn Al Hussain Al Mutanabbi. He has skillfully drawn Quranic calligraphy in such a way that the images depict the meanings of the verses.

A total of 15 works of Khaleelullah are on display in the exhibition, which also include a rare item – the word Allah in 99 different shapes. A small booklet called 99 names of Allah is distributed free to the visitors of the exhibition, brought to you by Creative Arc LLC.

Lastly, starting from tradition and moving on to innovation, we will display calligraphy of Arabic poems transferred to beautiful optical crystal, often enhanced by free setting of Swarowski crystals.
