Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has launched an all new series ‘Comedy Circus’ starting June 16, every Saturday at 9.30 p.m. ‘Comedy Circus’ is a unique reality-based comedy format show that brings together celebrities to perform with professional comedian partners on a highly competitive stage.
‘The show will see 7 popular television actors teaming up to train under 7 well-known stand–up comedians and together they will make the viewers laugh like never before. The contestants will perform before a live studio audience and of course millions of viewers across the country.Seen on this show will be Urvashi Dholakia, Ketaki Dave, Karishma Tanna, Ali Asgar, Kiran Karmarkar, Swapnil Joshi and Varun Badola, who team up with well-known stand–up comedians like Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, VIP, Annu Mudgul, Pratap Faujdar, Khayali Saharan, Kashif Khan and Sunil Sawara.’Albert Almeida, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television said

These unusual jodis will compete for the top position of ‘Comedy Circus’ over 13 weeks. Every week the judges and the studio audiences will nominate 2 of the weakest jodis, one of whom will be voted out by the remaining participants themselves, until the announcement of the ultimate jodi.bThe panel of two judges consists of Umar Shariff and Archana Puran Singh.
