Sampurn Media has now decided to expand its horizon and venture into other regional languages after consolidating its lead position in the English language news market. And the first step towards regional language news syndication is – Hindi.
“Hindi Entertainment News market today is at its peak with number of old and new Hindi publications ready to fight it out in today’s competitive market. And so, when we thought of expanding our services into regional languages, Hindi was the obvious choice”, comments Mr Sampurn Anand, Chief Executive Officer of the company.
With the introduction of Hindi Entertainment News content, Sampurn Media will now cater to the best of Hindi publications some of which have already subscribed to its services. Talking about the new initiative, Mr Sampurn Anand further added, “By providing news into Hindi, we dont simply intend to translate our English content and serve. Hindi news has a completely different flavour altogether and hence, a new team has been put into place to customise content as per the reader’s flavour.”
Elaborating further, he emphasised that along with News, Gossips, Interviews and cover stories related to films, tv, music and fashion, the company will also provide Broadband video and audio content which will mainly cater to the websites and radio stations.
