Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia has capped of a stellar creative year by being named Agency of the Year second year running at the annual Kancil Awards.
While the KL agency picked up 4 gold, 22 silvers and 2 bronze awards on the night, the criteria for the Agency of the Year award is also based on performance at the world’s top 6 Award shows.
At this year’s Cannes Awards, Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia was the most awarded agency in the Asia Pacific region with 28 finalists, 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze Lions. The agency also performed well at One Show, Clio, Adfest, Spikes and, more recently, picked up 5 pencils at Australian Award.
Malaysia/Singapore CEO John Foley said, “Of course we are delighted to pick up the Agency of the Year award, especially two years in a row. While performing on the world stage is the agency’s primary focus, it is always very important to be recognized in your own backyard.”
ECD Adrian Miller commented, “I’m thrilled that we’ve had multiple campaigns contributing to our awards success this year. Moving forward our aim will be to also produce far more integrated/digital campaigns, and to win Agency of the Year again in 2009.”
