Rohit rejoins Ogilvy from McCann Healthcare Worldwide (MHW), where most recently he established and led McCann’s healthcare offer for South and sub-Saharan Africa into a regional Centre of Excellence. Prior to this, Rohit established MHW’s New Delhi office and then helped build the Singapore/SEA healthcare hub. Rohit has built and managed a specialist business from the ground up – across a variety of OTC/Nutrition/Rx and public health categories, reaching double-digit growth coupled with a high level of client satisfaction. One of his significant achievements was to create an effective global alignment with Nestle Infant Nutrition. Rohit comes to Ogilvy with a proven track record in successfully managing multiple offices and a variety of healthcare categories and brands.
“Ogilvy is thrilled to have Rohit return in a key leadership role after a nine year hiatus,” according to Steve Dahllof, President and CEO of Ogilvy Public Relations, Asia Pacific. “Healthcare is a tremendously important sector for us and Rohit’s appointment is an important next step in our healthcare growth plan in Asia Pacific. Rohit’s deep client and team leadership experience combined with his approach to strategic thinking make him the perfect choice both for Ogilvy and our healthcare clients.”
On making the transition, Rohit said, “I’m delighted to rejoin the Ogilvy family. It’s a bit like coming home after working with Ogilvy on GSK’s Consumer Health brands in India. Over the last few years, the Asia Pacific Ogilvy Health network has made great progress and built a strong team, something that I’m thrilled to now be a part of. All the right ingredients are there — great leadership, great people, cutting-edge tools, Ogilvy’s trademark integration ethos and a great roster of clients. It’s a really exciting time to join.”
Rohit received his Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University, and is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Public Health Policy though the London School of Tropical Medicine (University of London).
