Roca, World Leaders in Bathroom Brands, has bagged the prestigious “Family Business Award” . This annual prize, now in its 13th year, is awarded jointly by the Swiss business school IMD and Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch. The glittering award ceremony took place on 22nd October at the FBN (Family Business Network) World Summit in New Delhi.
This award is presented to companies that have managed through excellent management and professionalism to consolidated its position and sustain continued grow year after year. Throughout its history, Roca has successfully managed to combine its family business traditions and values with the changes that have been necessary to adapt to global trends demanded by the market. All of this has enabled it to position itself and the Roca brand as the world leaders in the bathroom products segment and a point of reference for design and creation in market trends.
The 19th FBN World Summit took place at New Delhi from 20th till 22nd October. The summit saw many speakers from family business worldwide, some attendants from India included, Godrej, Dabur, Aravind Eye Care etc. The focus of the event was to unite family business owners and provide a platform to discuss issues pertaining to the growth of family businesses and the next generation of family business owners.
In 2006 Roca reinforced its already significant commercial presence in India and established a joint venture in India with EID Parry Ltd, from which Parryware Roca Private Limited originated. In April 2008 the company announced the acquisition of the corresponding share of EID Parry Ltd. With its headquarters in Chennai, Roca now has five factories and the entire bathroom sector product range at its disposal.
