It’s raining Money on Red FM Kolkata!
RED FM-Ey Eta ke? to challenge Kolkata to recognize their favourite stars
kolkata: After the tremendous success of Comedy Raja, RED FM, the station for expression, is back with another interesting contest for its listeners, Red FM- Ey Eta Ke? The station is giving an opportunity to the citizens of Kolkata to win cash prizes every day, all they need to do is identify their favourite stars.
The contest started on the 6th of December and will be on air for three weeks. Throughout the day, the station will play a renowned voice across all shows. However, to make the contest more challenging the voices will be garbled slightly and instead of airing popular film dialogues, RED FM will play out celebrity voices from their recent interviews. The listeners can SMS their answers to 58558 or call in on the studio lines to try their luck.
If the voice goes unrecognized on one show, the contest will be carried forward on subsequent shows giving out clues, leading the listeners a step closer towards winning the prize money. RED FM will keep raising the stakes as the contest progresses thereby maximizing listener participation.
Commenting on this initiative, Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP Projects & Programming RED FM said “Listeners in Kolkata are in for a big treat. Red FM- Ey Eta Ke? is a very interesting and challenging contest, and we are sure that listeners will enjoy taking part in the contest. Every listener has an equal chance of winning, and the stakes keep rising with every show. At Red FM, we constantly innovate to give listeners something that they haven’t heard before. We have introduced programming changes on Red FM Kolkata and tightened our programming and music in keeping with the preferences of listeners in Kolkata.”
Red FM-Ey Eta Ke? will be supported by a three week long marketing campaign. Outdoor and ambient media has been used to promote the contest. Hoardings at key locations within the city and branding in AC Volvo buses will familiarize the citizens with the contest mechanics. These AC Volvo buses will also be playing Red FM on board for the entertainment of the passengers. Besides, a Red FM branded canter will also be doing the rounds of the streets of Kolkata informing the citizens about the ongoing contests.
The contest will be played over 3 weeks from December 6, 2010 and will enthrall the listeners till Christmas Eve, from Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 9 pm.
