It’s that time of the year again! Red FM brings a very special line up of shows, prizes, music, goodies and more, to make this festive season even merrier for its listeners across Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

Starting Dec 18th – Jan 2nd, Santa & his reindeers will pay a visit to the Red FM studios bringing the famous ‘Santa ki Jholi’ full of goodies galore everyday for Red FM listeners. Listen to our RJs attempting to describe the goodies by feeling the ‘Jholi’ and if you can guess it correctly you win whatever is in the ‘Jholi’!. Apart from this, Mumbaikars can also catch all the action on-ground as ‘Santa ki Jholi’ goes to malls and multiplexes across the city and gives people a chance to win on-the-spot gifts.

Delhi’s phamous chor, Lucky (of ‘Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye’ fame) is on the run and Red FM and Ambience mall are tracking him down. Starting from Dec 18th – Jan 2nds, Red FM will employ sources which will give clues on Lucky’s locations on-air and listeners are welcome to guess his location. All they have to do is listen to Red FM, guess the location and marro a “tukka”. Join Red FM in this amazing hunt to track Lucky and who knows your tukka might just help Red FM find him! Besides, even if your ‘tukka’ is incorrect but very interesting, you might still get ‘Lucky’! With Christmas hampers, movie vouchers and shopping vouchers up for grabs, RED FM will make sure it’s a very special Christmas for its listeners. Besides this, Red FM’s very popular show DL 935 will be broadcast Live from Ambience Mall on the 25th of DEC where listeners will get a chance to interact with their favourite Red FM RJs and win loads of gifts.

Santa metamorphoses into ‘Santada’ in the City of Joy. RED FM, this Christmas, will Bajaao-your-ghanti with Santada, a Bengali character who thinks he is Father Christmas. Red FM will run promos throughout the day asking listeners to SMS if they want to Bajaao someone’s Ghanti this Christmas. Santada will ring people’s Ghantis (a surprise visit) bearing Red FM Gifts and this whole event will be captured live on-air.

The festivities don’t end here. There’s an interesting line-up of shows specially designed to herald the New Year – Bajaate Raho ishtyle. Among them are ‘2008 Mein Baj Gayi Re’ – a snapshot of all the people/things/events that were bajaaoed in 2008….kisne kiski bajaayi! ; ‘Red FM Superhits Top 100’ – The year-end baap of all countdowns – 100 rocking, superhit songs of 2008 which will be aired from 27th to 31st Dec. Also in the offing are the best moments of 2008 from the morning shows in the three cities specially captured for listeners; including the famous Murgas, Shendis, Bajaate Raho Awards, Kolkata Awaaz Uthao, Side Effect, Red Mike, etc.

Commenting on the initiatives, Anuj Singh, National Marketing Head & Station Head, Mumbai, Red FM, said, “After the recent very unfortunate events, its heartening to see that Mumbai is moving on, and while we will continue to act as a pressure group raising relevant issues to the authorities, we will also do our bit to spread some cheer in the lives on the people of these cities. Proceeds from all the SMSes received along with a contribution from Red FM will be donated to a related charity towards the welfare of the victims of the recent tragedies.”
