New Delhi: With Airtel Delhi Half Marathon round the corner, many would be preparing for the run. But how many of you are running for a noble cause? Encouraging healthy habits and active lifestyle, Radio Mirchi, India’s leading radio station and official partner of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon will provide Delhiites with an opportunity to win twin bonanza of fitter life and healthier society while supporting a noble cause.
As part of the activity, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM will be organizing two activities Treadmillion Challenge and Get Active Expo. These activities will not only help in building the rhythm of the event but also provide one with an opportunity to make valuable contribution towards the society.
Every kilometer covered in Treadmillion Challenge will earn five rupees for the welfare of visually impaired children of Saksham School. Till date over two thousand Delhiites have taken the Treadmillion Challenge with over 886 kilometers being clocked which in itself speaks of the success that the activity has garnered.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Vivek Modi, Vice President and Cluster Head North says “An opportunity like this seldom comes your way. Not only are you getting a fitter and healthier life, but you are serving the society that has contributed immensely to where you stand now. Delhi is famous for its exuberance which leads me to believe there would be a massive turnout.”
Get Active Expo is a three-day long health, fitness, and lifestyle Expo at NSIC Ground Okha, on 6th, 7th, and 8th December. Participants of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon can personally visit and collect their mandatory kits from the Expo. Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM is also indebted to its sponsors, Airtel, Borges, Snickers, Oxfam India, Philips and Skoda for the support extended towards this noble initiative.
