New Delhi: It’s that time of the year when serpentine queues will build up outside colleges as thousands of graduates; fresh out from school will start their college admission process! In the sweltering heat, these students will have no choice but to stay put and do the necessary.
At a time when Delhi University will be bustling with these helpless students…. most of who will be from out of the city, Radio Mirchi and Airtel will play guardian angel.
To give respite to all the hassled students out there, Radio Mirchi has launched ‘Delhi Mein Fresher’ – a campaign to help students wade through the hectic process of admissions.
The campaign will be promoted extensively on air. Through this campaign, the station will not only welcome students seeking admissions from across the country but will also assist them in the entire admission process. Additionally, Mirchi will be looking out for volunteers who can come forward and assist the students. The intent is to aid and facilitate the admission process of outstation students, who usually find it difficult to traverse the admission days in Delhi, due to language problems.
The station has also introduced a luxury Airtel Mirchi Mobile Bus that will be a one-stop solution for everything – from photocopier machine, Polaroid camera, stationery items to merchandises like sippers, sling bags etc.
Students can take a breather in the comforting cool environment of the Mirchi Mobile Bus that will roll across the North & South campus picking up the lucky Mirchi listeners. In addition, three fully equipped cars will be making rounds at the campus assisting the applicants to commute within the University area.
At the campus, kiosks will be set up to help the students steer through tough times by giving them directions, helping out with information on courses, important dates etc.
Every day, one lucky student will be chosen as the Royal Fresher and will be assisted with a dedicated Airtel-Mirchi promoter to guide them through the admissions paraphernalia. Avoid the heat, the crowd and the wait by getting picked-up in a chauffer-driven car from your home! Promoters will accompany you to various colleges, assist you in filling forms and delight you withrefreshments and will drop you back at your home as well.
Announcing this initiative, Yatish Mehrishi, Cluster Head and Station Director said,” Like every year, this year too Radio Mirchi is providing respite to the freshers and helping them in wading through the admission process, with its latest initiative the Airtel Mirchi Mobile Bus. It is a service started by Airtel and Radio Mirchi to provide guidance to the youth who are stepping out to seek admissions.. Be it the effortless transport, the stationary or filling up the admission forms the campaign will provide all.”
Applying to Delhi University this year will be far from a hassle… it will be a memorable, fun experience as RJ’s from Radio Mirchi will interact with the students, pep them with goodies and special treatments and guide them through the admission process.
