Radio City's GPL reaches its peak

Mumbai: Following the phenomenal start, the second season of Radio City 91.1 FM’s Gully Premier League (GPL) reached its peak during the grand finale. With two best cricket teams in the city pitted against each other in the grand finale, the spirit & the entertainment quotient of the game was tremendous. The finale marks the end of the month long cricket tournament where different regions of the city competed against each other for the GPL trophy and a prize of Rs 1 lakh.

The second season of GPL witnessed a record number of 14000 team registrations across the country adding to the extreme enthusiasm seen during the matches. The wave of excitement seen across cricket crazy nation has undoubtedly made GPL one of the prime properties of Radio City.

The finale that took place in Mumbai at the Dadar Parsee Gymkhana gave the perfect end to the tournament. The players of ‘Ghatkopar ke Super 11’ won the whooping prize amount of Rs 1 lakh. Young cheerleaders added to the glitz as well as celebrated singers such as Shaan, Babul Supriyo, Meet Brothers. Also joining the fanfare were actors like Karan Wahi & Vikas Kalantri who were a part of the celebrity cricket league. The finale couldn’t get more glamorous than this.

Season 2 of GPL was held across 14 cities – Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Vizag, Coimbatore and Pune.
