Celebrating summer in true Whatte Fun style, Lucknow’s Radio City 91.1FM spelt the fun for parents and children in St. Fidelis Inter College, Vikas Nagar, Lucknow. Adding a cool dash of Masti and Maja to the scorching summer heat, the station concluded its month long Summer Fest – The Radio City Summer Workshop Season 2 for Dance and Music, exclusively organized for Lucknow’s Radio Cityzens. Welcoming everyone in her refreshing voice was the most admiring RJ Vera, the programming head and the host of the very popular ‘Whatte Fun Mornings’.
The evening was then concluded by the energetic and witty RJ Puja, who regaled everyone and called upon the stage the students from Music batch who sang the song from the very popular movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The stage was then set ablaze with a medley performance by dance students. Next to follow was performance by the 2nd batch of music students singing ‘Socha Hai’ from Rock On.
That was not all, audience too had a surprise in waiting. Best dressed, best clapper, best audience too were picked from the crowd and were awarded. RJ Puja took everyone into her wing and saw to it that the 4th performance by 2nd batch of dance classes was on stage. No need to say that crowd cheered along and clapped throughout the performance.
Soon after this, best performers and students who had been scoring high on a weekly basis were given gifts and vouchers. A surprise gift was also given to Manthan, the youngest 5-year old participant of the workshop who was the apple of eye of both audience and workshop participants. Certificates were handed out to these achievers.
Icing on the cake was the last but not the least performance by dance students who danced their way into everyone’s heart with Jai Ho and that sealed the relationship of Radio City with all these participants forever.
Vera concluded the Summer Workshop by thanking everyone and promising to make the workshop much bigger and better for Season 3.With this Season 2 of Radio City Summer Workshop concluded successfully. Both students and teachers had an emotional moment when the final speech was given. It was a workshop to remember and a performance not to forget.
