Percept Activ, the brand activation arm of Percept Limited flawlessly conceptualized & executed an on-ground activation for ‘Incredible Handicraft’, a handicraft fashion show hosted by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India at Dilli Haat, New Delhi on December 13, 2012.Followed by Kolkata at Milan Mela Grounds on December 19, 2012 and Hyderabad at Shilpa Ramam on December 23, 2012.
India has been always been known for its handicrafts. Right from the Bandhani designs of Rajasthan to the Mekhala designs of Assam and from the Pashmina designs of Kashmir to the Kanchipuram designs of Tamil Nadu; the land has been blessed with Handicraft designs which have kept the world in awe since time immemorial.
Percept Activ received the mandate for this event through an open tender bid wherein they had to present the strategy, methodology and innovations to promote the Ministry of Textiles (Handicraft), Govt. of India.
Incredible Handicraft is one such platform which brings together fashion designers of repute like Abraham & Thakore, Payal Jain and Samanth Chauhan showcasing fashion creations based on the marvelous world of Handicrafts. Percept Activ strived to design elements of creativity which translates seamlessly into a memorable experience for the audience, focusing both on promotional and event based activation.
To celebrate the uniqueness of Indian Handicrafts and showcase it in a novel vein, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India hosted an exclusive fashion show titled ‘Incredible Handicraft’, which brought together fashion designers of repute like Abraham & Thakore, Payal Jain and Samanth Chauhan showcasing fashion creations based on the marvelous world of Handicrafts. Dressed in by well-known models like Sonalika Sahay, Donna Masih, Aanchal Oberoi, Anousha Chauhan, Himani Thapa, Priyanka Bhau and others; the creations showcased the rich heritage of the Handicrafts of India and presented work like traditional kedia silhouette with handcrafted shibori, Lucknowi chikankari and Bhagalpur silk.
