PDM to promote TATA Indicom Photon brand

The new TATA Indicom Photon+ is a wireless broadband service from TATA Indicom that promises to be 20 times faster than other wireless services. In order to communicate the speed and easy installation of the service, TATA Indicom and PDM India have set up demo kiosks in 121 Café Coffee Day (CCD) outlets across the country.

On the activity and its objective, Sanjay Shukla, National Head-Brand Activation, PDM, said, “Being a wireless service, it offers the benefit of high speed internet access wherever and whenever. Activation and installation are also quite fast and simple. The idea of doing such an activity is to reach out to the right set of consumers, generate awareness, and facilitate actual product/service experience.”

The promotion will generate leads for the brand and also help sell the product to this TG. Shukla added, “It’s a demo cum sales pitch activity where the promoters have been trained about the Photon+ service adequately to be able to educate the customer well.”

PDM is in talks with the client to make the activity an end-to-end solution, where the agency will assist the brand till the time the actual sale is made and the purchase amount is collected from the customer.

Shukla explained, “We’ve proposed to the client that we take on this project as an end-to-end solution. After the demos are completed, whatever leads are generated through the activity will be contacted through a call centre for sales and we will even assist distributors deliver the service to the customer and collect the payment.”

The activations at CCDs began on May 1, and will go on for five weekends simultaneously in several cities including Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Guwahati and Jammu.
