Patrick Smith Appointed President of FutureBrand

Harris Diamond, CEO of the Constituency Management Group, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., today announced the appointment of Patrick Smith as president of FutureBrand, a leading global brand consultancy with offices in 16 countries in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Smith succeeds Jean-Louis Dumeu, who is retiring after five successful years as global leader of the firm. The appointment is effective as of January 1, 2009 and Smith will lead the business from London.

Smith has been FutureBrand’s CEO for Europe for the past four years, driving growth across the region including leading the firm’s expansion into Russia and Germany. Prior to FutureBrand, he was CEO Europe at Brand Union, where he had operational control for the region, oversaw business development and managed key clients. He began his career in advertising working for both Reeves Robertshaw Needham and Grey.
