Omnicom Group’s TBWA Worldwide has been named Global Network of the Year by both Advertising Age and Adweek. Advertising Age also named Omnicom’s Dieste Multicultural Agency of the Year and TBWA CEO Tom Carroll Executive of the Year. Moreover, four out of the 10 agencies named to Advertising Age’s A list were Omnicom Group companies (NYSE: OMC). In addition to TBWA, these included Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Rapp and Tribal DDB.
In Advertising Age’s Ones to Watch, both Latinworks, a close contender for Multicultural Agency of the Year, and Ketchum, one of Omnicom’s PR networks, captured spots.
The awards come on top of PR Week’s selection of PR firm Porter-Novelli as the One to Watch and Omnicom agencies’ domination of The Big Won report, a precis of the world’s best marketing communications across media and disciplines. In The Big Won, Omnicom was named top overall holding company as well as the top holding company for direct marketing, while BBDO Worldwide and DDB Worldwide were named the No. 1 and No. 2 agency groups, respectively.
Omnicom agencies BBDO New York, DDB Berlin, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, DDB London and BBDO Dusseldorf also claimed five of the top 10 agency rankings in The Big Won, while BBDO New York and DDB Germany captured the top three Chief Creative Officers and the top three Creative Directors rankings. Listed among the top 10 agency networks for direct marketing were: Proximity, DDB Worldwide, Rapp, BBDO Worldwide and TBWA/Tequila Worldwide.
