OLX.com Adds Hindi Support

OLX.com, a top American classifieds website has added Hindi support to its website. This move of OLX.com is a specific one to cater to a large amount of Hindi speaking Indian audience. “India is a beautiful country. It could be called a mélange of diverse cultures with many languages spoken and understood. But most of the India understands Hindi. Through Hindi classifieds, the advertisers would be able to reach out to a mass audience. As they say, language should not be a barrier we believe in breaking the barrier and forming a concoction with local language as the main ingredient” says Fabrice Grinda, CEO OLX.com

“We assembled OLX to improve on traditional classified sites, which are functional but overlook key features to actually deliver a apposite public service to communities ubiquitously”, he says, adding.OLX runs classifieds for Friendster, fotolog and perfspot. It has around 30 million visitors per month.

Previously people used to advertise in the newspapers but with the changing technology newspapers have become a passé and Internet classifieds have become very popular.

“India seemed to have clinched the Internet with a great amount of ambivalence, in its pioneering years in India. But with every passing year, the Internet usage surged and figures showed tremendous enthusiasm amongst the Indian population.”

OLX would serve as an answer to the question by everyone right from a company person who wants to advertise or a person looking for a soul mate or even a friend.

On OLX you can find anything and everything right from a friend to a house, from car to a phone, from property to pet, from language classes to a job. OLX is like a compact Jinny for you, just a Click away.

OLX is the next generation of free online classifieds.
