Nine FM partners the 31st All India Governors Cup

Nine FM, the first FM Station of Gangtok is all set ready to bring the excitement of the 31st All India Governor’s Cup conducted by Sikkim Football Association at Palzor Stadium. This tournament is one of the few tournaments of the country which is being organized uninterruptedly for the last thirty years.

The tournament started from 5th September and its final is slated for 22nd September 2009.The tournament was officially declared open on 9th September 2009 by Balmiki Prasad Singh, H.E the Governor of Sikkim while Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Dr.Pawan Chamling graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

This year for the first time, Sikkim Football Association has given the opportunity to all the local clubs of Gangtok to play the preliminary pre-qualifying matches of the Gold Cup.

Nine FM as the official radio partner is instrumental in promoting the tournament on air in Sikkim & North Bengal. On-air match updates are not just restricted to Sikkim but it is also aired in Nine FM, Siliguri for the people of North Bengal.

Through Nine FM the Sikkim Football Association look forward to appeal to all the people of Sikkim from all walks of life to come forward and enjoy this beautiful game of football at ultra-modern Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.

Nine FM Gangtok will air the daily updates of the match for the people of Sikkim and North Bengal. The denizens can listen to the match updates by just tuning to Nine FM, Gangtok as well as Siliguri.

Nine FM is running the ‘Predict & Win’ contest on-air daily where the listeners have to predict the winner of the match for the day. The winners of ‘Predict & Win’ contest are entitled to exciting gifts from Vodafone and Nine FM.
