Nike launches “Write the Future” global football campaign

Nike has launched a series of short teaser videos to give fans a sneak preview of its new global football campaign entitled “Write the Future” launching May 22nd. Focused around key moments in a game that live beyond 90 minutes, viewers are given a snapshot of how one touch or strike of the ball can change the entire course of not just that game, but your entire season, tournament or football career. Featured in the spots are global stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho.

Starting on Saturday, May 15th – May 22nd the following teasers will be available for fans who sign up at Nike Facebook and

“Ronaldo Statue” A crowd fills a town square in Portugal to honor the unveiling of an iconic statue of Ronaldo.

“Ronaldo – The Movie” Red carpet, flashing light bulbs and screaming fans greet Ronaldo at the official screening of “Ronaldo – The Movie”.

“Rooney Caravan” Fallen football icon Wayne Rooney suffers a dramatic change to life without football and living in caravan. The result of a stray pass to Theo Walcott that he re-enacts to this day.

“Samba Like Ron DVD” Blinding footwork that mesmerizes opponents catapults Ronaldinho’s signature move to pop culture fame with a “Ron’s Samba-Robics” work out video.

Additional video shorts will also be available May 23rd onwards featuring further scenes from the campaign.

To see the Nike “Write the Future” campaign first fans can sign up at Nike Facebook and starting at 6pm GMT on Thursday, May 20th. The campaign breaks officially on Saturday, May 22nd via You Tube and Facebook, with a television unveil during the European Club Final that evening.
