Shailesh Rao, managing director, Google India, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the US-India Business Council (USIBC).
The US-India Business Council (USIBC) is a premier business advocacy organisation, comprising top tier US and Indian companies, aiming at deepening two-way trade and strengthening commercial ties.
Shailesh Rao brings a wealth of experience with him having most recently served as Director for Google based at the company's headquarters in Mountain View, California. In this role Shailesh was responsible for growing Google's Local Search business globally, driving Google's third party channel programs, as well as managing new content partnership programs on a worldwide basis. Prior to Google, Shailesh was Vice President of Products for Yodlee managing all aspects of product and corporate development for Yodlee's core products and technology.
Shailesh has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania with Honors, a BS from the Wharton School with a concentration in finance, and an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management.
