Sanghvi on January 27,2008 had quit INX News ,the yet to be launched English news channel. Sanghvi had joined INX News a few months ago. Sanghvi quit over a dispute between him and INX Media for the delay in the news channel launch. Media circles were abuzz with the speculation that Vir Sanghvi is quitting as editorial head of INX News.
Vir Sanghvi is a former editor of Hindustan Times. He also edited Sunday and was consulting editor for Anada Bazaar Patrika He also edited Imprint and is co founder-editor Bombay Magazine and currently writes a Counterpoint weekly column in the Hindusan Times. Vir Sanghvi is reputed as being one of the youngest editors in India and is also a television personality.
According to the sources, Hindustan Times (HT Media) has plans to launch a news channel.
Vir Sanghvi has joined back Hindustan Times . Before joining INX News, he was Editorial Director with the daily. According to the industry sources, he has been given the responsibility of a Chief Editor.
