OOH Media launches Oohlta n Poolta character

Tue, 15 Dec 2009 20:46:00

Mumbai: After the first-of-it-kind character Googly Gyanchand for out of home digital screens; OOH Media Pvt Ltd, India’s largest out-of-home television has now tailored another special character Oohlta n Poolta . A 20 second vignette which will play in all clusters across India.

Commenting on this Ashutosh Parekh, Content Head, OOH Media says, “With the past experience of the character based content like Googly Gyanchand and Mr.Foodie, has given us the confidence to create ‘Oohpisodes’ (mini programmes) on our channel for Oohlta n Poolta . This has been an innovation not just within OOH Media but the platform itself. As a part of content strategy, adding the ‘OOH factor’ to all our content is the critical litmus”.

Oohlta n Poolta  took birth on the editor’s table in Gurgaon one boring humid July afternoon. They are raised on a staple diet of mindless humour and unwitting one liners, hence their stick figures. This 20 second vignette will have a ‘Bakwaas’ conversation of the upside down on everything and anything.

Oohlta n Poolta  is an animated, adorable and at times annoying who keeps throwing conversation which would sound Bakwaas on the activities that’s happening around. Their approach is based on very common subjects who would force you to think and end up getting an answer which is humoristic. It’s a pan-India property, showcased across all of OOH Media’s 5000 screens, reaching out to about 50 million people monthly.

As an OOH content innovation taking the humour route, the character animation used is a 2 D techniques with a traditional single line sketch treatment. This will be an ongoing series, and every Oohpisode of Oohlta n Poolta  will be designed in house and refreshed on a weekly basis popping up on OOH screens across the country.

Catch the teasers on the OOH screens as the series are already hit the screens.
