Radio One 94.3FM, a joint venture between MiD DAY Multimedia and BBC worldwide, announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30th wherein revenue has grown 92% over the corresponding period last year. This continues to make Radio One the fastest growing in rate of revenue growth in the radio sector as compared to last year’s financials.
The company’s PBT operations for the half year ended September 30th is now reported to be positive and has grown by 117% over the corresponding period last year. In the first quarter Radio One had announced a growth of 85% over the corresponding period last year. In the 6 metros that Radio One operates), the radio sector according to estimates has grown 27% over last years net revenue figures. Radio One operates in 6 cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Ahmedabad and is slated to launch in Calcutta by December this year.
