VLCC unveils a new Anti Obesity logo and website

New Delhi : VLCC the iconic leader in wellness with presence in slimming, beauty & fitness took a step further by unveiling a new symbol of its Anti Obesity Drive an orange feather, which symbolizes purity and simplicity and gives feeling of limitless freedom. Renowned artist Sanjay Bhattacharya later gave an artistic interpretation to the new symbol. Two educational website totally dedicated to educate the masses on obesity.www.antiobesitydrive.com & www.endoffattness.com were launched. Also present for the occasion was Kapil Dev alongwith Mrs. Vandana Luthra, Founder & Mentor, VLCC Group and Mr. Sandeep Ahuja, MD India & CEO International Operations, VLCC.

This year marked the 10th consecutive year of the Anti Obesity movement; the aegis behind Anti-Obesity Day is to educate everyone on the scourge of Obesity and also to create awareness among the medical fraternity about its ill-effects. In the year 2000, understanding the gravity of the problems associated with Obesity and as pioneers in the field, VLCC created Anti Obesity Foundation with the objective of addressing the problem to help the human resource lead vital, meaningful lives with optimal Wellness.

Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Vandana Luthra, Founder & Mentor, VLCC said" Every year VLCC observes 26th November as Anti-Obesity Day and this effort has been undertaken with the sincere intention of guiding individuals in their journey towards achieving wellness and rejuvenation. This year we have taken a step further by launching a month long Anti Obesity Drive which further showcases our fight against Obesity."

Sandeep Ahuja, MD India & CEO International Operations, VLCC said "Branded as silent killer, obesity has emerged as a serious health concern among urban Indians. The 'Anti Obesity Day' is an attempt to spread awareness about the adverse effects of obesity, its resultant medical ailments and to equip people with the correct techniques for effective tackling of the problem"

Complimenting VLCC on its successful journey over the years, Kapil Dev said, "It gives me immense pleasure to be present here on this important day, observed as Anti-Obesity Day.

Obesity, after destroying the other parts of the World, is slowly setting into India. People marred by sedentary lifestyles and lack of awareness are most hit with the problem of Obesity. I am glad that VLCC, truly standing to its image of a 'people's brand' has been actively promoting the cause of eradicating the problem of Obesity, over the years. I wish them all the success and my support in their future endeavors dedicated to this cause.

This year VLCC started the drive against obesity through a series of activities in all its centers across India. The initiative involved VLCC holding health camps, melas, where the local residents were educated about their health through a Body Composition Analysis (BCA) which was analyzed through a wellness meter check, conducted by VLCC Health experts.
