New York Observer to Host 'Observer Living: Condo Showcase'

Following the successful debut last spring of ‘Observer Living: Condo Showcase’, the New York Observer has announced that it will be holding a larger, even more spectacular, marketplace for consumers, residential brokers and developers next month.Based on the success of the first showcase, nearly 70 percent of the inaugural exhibitors will return to feature their premiere properties on September 21st at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.

Over 3,000 potential homebuyers are expected to attend ‘Observer Living’. The grand exhibition space will be organized to reflect the geographical layout of the properties. Attendees will be able to explore developments — walking from ‘Lower Manhattan’ to the ‘Upper East Side’ and ‘across the Brooklyn Bridge’ — all without ever having to leave the building. Attendees will each receive a ‘City’ map and the event space will feature street signs to help individuals navigate from neighborhood to neighborhood.

‘Observer Living’ will feature 50 properties — a full mix of residences offering different price points and varying styles. Highlights include new condos throughout the boroughs as well as second homes and international residences. Returning buildings include: The Laurel, The Brompton, Toren, The Visionaire, Sheffield57, The Edge, 80 Metropolitan,Morgan Court and 200 West End Avenue. “We learned from our last venture that the public has a huge appetite for quality real estate,” said Observer Media Group publisher Jared Kushner. “We are thrilled that we can once again offer access to New York’s top properties, all under one roof, and make the experience enjoyable and educational.”

“When you put a lot of product in front of people, it makes it easier for them to take a look at what is on the market,” said Andy Gerringer,Managing Director, Prudential Douglas Elliman, Development Marketing Group.”It may even open up their eyes to places they wouldn’t have known were available.”

“We will be returning to the ‘Observer Living: Condo Showcase’ in September because the inaugural event last spring gave us the opportunity to debut Toren to the public,” said BFC Partner Don Cappocia. “Sales resulted from the event and hundreds of people that wouldn’t have had Toren on their radar were introduced to this prime Brooklyn building.”

‘Observer Living: Condo Showcase’ exhibitor package includes booth space, advertising in a custom-published magazine for the event, online presence at, and a full page color advertisement in the New York Observer.
