National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) and now TV has announced the launch of Hong Kong’s first high-definition (HD), 24×7 documentary channel – National Geographic Channel HD, exclusively on now TV.
National Geographic Channel HD, the only documentary channel that is available in full high-definition in Hong Kong and will join the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Canada, France, the Netherlands and Singapore where the 24-hour HD channel is already available. With unmatched clarity, vibrant colours and theatre-quality 5.1-channel surround sound, National Geographic Channel HD (now TV channel 218) promises to transport viewers to some of the most visually-stunning locales on Earth, offering them a truly compelling television experience.
Featuring world-renowned explorers and cutting-edge filmmakers, National Geographic Channel HD provides viewers with award-winning documentary programmes, compelling stories of unsurpassed quality and a superior level of credibility that the world has come to expect. National Geographic Channel HD marks the latest addition to the family of National Geographic branded channels in Hong Kong, which includes National Geographic Channel (standard-definition channel), National Geographic Channel VOD (video-on-demand), Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Adventure.
National Geographic Channel HD is launched exclusively on now TV platform today and can be enjoyed by subscribing to the channel at a promotional rate of HK$50/month (12-month contract) while existing National Geographic Mega Pack subscribers can enjoy a special rate at HK$35/month (12-month contract).
