Musical Sargam marks Radio Mirchi’s birthday celebrations

New Delhi: Its celebration time at Radio Mirchi 98.3FM Delhi, as Delhi’s Hottest Radio Station completes seven successful years of entertaining Dilliwala’s. On the occasion of this landmark birthday, Radio Mirchi 98.3FM has put together musical celebrations – Musical Sargam, that shines the spotlight on the musical talent of seven visually impaired and underprivileged children, who have an interest in music but have been constrained in pursing music even as a hobby.

Radio Mirchi will sponsor one full year of education in music of these children at the Bridge Music Academy. Also as a part of the Musical Sargam, these seven kids will get to be on air along with the Mirchi RJ’S and entertain the listeners with their gifted talent.

Listeners are invited to be a part of their favourite FM station’s birthday bash through the Musical Sargam program, which is seeking active engagement of its listeners to come forward and donate their old musical instruments which are in working conditions to these talented children. Delhi can participate in spreading joy in the lives of these little wonders by sending an SMS to 58888. Radio Mirchi team will arrange to collect the musical instruments and donate these for the use of street children through the NGO Music Basti.

Yatish Mehrishi, Cluster Head and Station Director, Radio Mirchi said,”On the occasion of our 7th anniversary, we wish to provide a platform for gifted children to encourage them to learn and pursue music. As providers of wholesome musical entertainment, Radio Mirchi is eager to foster musical talent and share the joys of music with the lesser privileged. Musical Sargam invites Delhi to be a part of Radio Mirchi’s effort to bring a smile on the faces of these gifted children.”

Radio Mirchi has introduced this initiative- Musical Sargam as a part of its CSR division, Mirchi Cares. It is a campaign which provides all possible audio help to the visually impaired people. In the past too Radio Mirchi has taken up similar projects under the Mirchi Cares banner.

The last seven years of Radio Mirchi Delhi has been dotted with creditable achievements and noticeable milestones and this year promises to be no different.
