India Media Exchange has announced creation of the new role of India Head- Strategic Investments. Mona Jain, till now Executive Vice President – North, will move into this new role with immediate effect.
“Historically, the interaction between buyers and media owners has been tactical and adversarial. While it is popular to talk of partnership, hardly anyone devotes enough energy and senior management commitment to explore the game changing behaviour that true partnership involves. We created this new role to better leverage the scale represented by IMX clients, to change the nature of our conversation with media owners, and in order to turn our relationship with them more long term and strategic ,”
Ravi Kiran, CEO-South East & South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group, who provides guidance and counsel to India Media Exchange in his regional management capacity,said.
In this role, Mona Jain will focus on taking the IMX engagement with key media owners to the next level- formulating and implementing 2nd generation investment practices, co-creating proactive opportunities and assets for IMX clients.

In her new role, Mona Jain will continue to be based in Delhi.
Mona Jain has over eighteen years of experience working in various leading agencies – Hindustan Thompson, Contract, Mudra Communications, FCB, Cheil Communications and ZenithOptimedia . In Cheil Communications she set up the media function for Samsung and was awarded the Best International Employee of the year in 2005. She also did a short stint on the client side and worked for Glaxo Smithkine Beecham. She has a diverse category experience working on brands such as Pepsi, Horlicks, McDonalds, Whirlpool, Lays, Hyundai, Hewlett Packard, Nokia, Nestle and Samsung. Work done by her have won awards at the Media Industry Forum- (EMVIES) – Best Strategy for Whirlpool and Best Innovation.
