Mumbai: India’s leading Afternooner MiD DAY has won a Bronze Award at the prestigious IFRA Asia Awards held at Chennai INDIA. MiD DAY bagged the prestigious award for the MiD DAY’s Visa + Pizza Hut IMPACT & ACTIVATION in the Cross Media Advertising Category. Mr. Ibrahim Khatri, AVP Sales at MiD DAY Infomedia Ltd. received the award on behalf pf the company.
472 entries were received this year for the 8th Edition of IFRA Asia Awards 2009. This win at IFRA Asia Awards is especially exciting as the newspaper has also won at the Global INMA Awards held at Miami USA in May 2009 & Asia Multimedia Awards held at Manila in 2009 for its excellence in marketing efforts. MiD DAY also was the only Indian publication to be awarded Gold at IFRA Cross Media Marketing Awards 2008 held at Amsterdam.
MiD DAY was awarded the prestigious IFRA Asia Award for a great effort designed for its client VISA. VISA for it’s regular client Pizza Hut had come up with an offer whereby diners could enjoy up to 40% off on their meals at the Pizza Hut by paying via VISA card. The brief was to come up with a solution to communicate this message creatively, impactfully and engagingly. MiD DAY delivered the message with an IMPACT Cover (a page 1 & 2 jacket) on the newspaper combined with ground activation where promoter boys dressed as Chefs stood outside 32 Pizza Hut outlets in Mumbai city, once again reminding them of the offer.
