MiD DAY, India’s leading afternooner launched the MiD DAY Trophy, a premium branded horse racing event on the lines of a Derby, that will be held annually in Mumbai, amplifying MiD DAY’s mission of “Making Work Fun!”. With an exciting cash prize of Rs. 2.5 lakhs, the trophy has generated much interest among jockeys, horse owners and punters.
The guest of honour for the afternoon was Bollywood star John Abraham, who gave away the MiD DAY Trophy to the winner. Actress Shriya Saran sizzled in a hot pink outfit while Bollywood’s hot new find Adhyayan Suman was seen graciously receiving accolades on his performance in the hit film Raaz The Mystery Continues. People were seen excitedly lining up to meet the stars, get autographs and pose for photos. Gautam Singhania upped the glamour quotient revving up in his signature orange Lamborgini, and was seen mingling with Tariq Ansari and Aneesh Trivedi over wine and cheese.
Also spotted at the event were industry folk including Rakesh Rao, GM Marketing, Zapak, Suresh Amarnani, Head, Marketing, Onida, Yogesh Anand, VP Marketing Cadbury’s India, Manpreet Singh Kochhar, VP Marketing Kotak Mahindra Bank, Nisha Marketing Manager, Cafe Mocha, Abhishek Saksena, CEO Netcore. The MiD DAY team was also out in full force, led by CEO Manajit Ghoshal, Head of Marketing Neville Bastawalla, Hit List Editor Sarita Tanwar, Marketing Manager Aashish Mubidri.
The spirit of weekend fun was tangible in the special enclosure reserved exclusively for guests of the afternooner, with Mumbai’s who’s who turning up in good numbers to enjoy this high fashion afternoon. Beer, wine and an array of delicious starters kept spirits high as people watched or bet at the Tote counters or RWITC punters on the other two races of the afternoon.
