MiD DAY, India’s leading afternooner , has announced the launch of ‘MiD DAY Corporate Cricket League’, a corporate cricket tournament. The tournament will be played in Mumbai and will have 32 corporate teams battling for supremacy on the field and breathing life into MiD DAY’s mission of “Making Work Fun!”.

The contest is being promoted by the afternooner using print, radio, online and on-ground communication. Call for entries has begun and the registration fees are set at Rs. 10,000 per team for the tournament that begins today and matches will be held every weekend for the next month at the Central Railway Grounds in Parel. The teams have to register on Mid Day website. The winning team will get Rs. 1 lakh in cash, the runners up team walks away with Rs. 50,000 in cash. Trophies, recognition via editorial coverage in MiD DAY and other prizes add to the incentives on offer for participating teams.
The MiD DAY Corporate Cricket League will witness a lot of glamour as Bollywood celebrities are expected to join in as spectators on a regular basis while cheerleaders and music to add fun to the whole tournament.
