Microsoft’s decision to withdraw its proposal to acquire Yahoo has sent blue Waves Cheer at Yahoo which tried its level best to save its existance even in troubled times .

Microsoft Corp on Saturday had announced that it has withdrawn its proposal to acquire Yahoo! Inc..
“We continue to believe that our proposed acquisition made sense for Microsoft, Yahoo! and the market as a whole. Our goal in pursuing a combination with Yahoo! was to provide greater choice and innovation in the marketplace and create real value for our respective stockholders and employees,” said Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer of Microsoft.
Besides Microsoft’s withdrawl, another reason for cheers at Yahoo are the financial results of first quarter . Yahoo has assured its investors that it will continue to grow .

Our solid results for the first quarter of 2008 and increased full year 2008 operating cash flow outlook reflect the progress the company is making, ” Jerry Yang said.
