Guangzhou : Saatchi & Saatchi X, a global leader in shopper marketing, has announced that it has appointed Michael Tan as Managing Director of its Asia Pacific region. He will join the Agency’s Global Leadership Team and report to Dina Howell, Worldwide CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi X.
Based in Guangzhou, Tan is responsible for an office of 30+ employees working on Asia-based assignments for global clients such as P&G and LG Electronics. He previously held a variety of leadership positions with G2 and OgilvyAction. Tan replaces Saatchi & Saatchi X Managing Director John Steere who is leaving Saatchi & Saatchi X to pursue personal interests. Tan was most recently Managing Director at Numsight, a strategic marketing and customer knowledge company based in Europe and Asia.

Michael’s integrated communications and brand activation experience spans 23 years. He was most recently Managing Director at Numsight, a strategic marketing and customer knowledge company.
Prior to Numsight, Michael served as Regional Trade Marketing Director at Ogilvy Asia Pacific.
He previously spent over eight years with Grey/G2 Malaysia where he rose from Account Manager to Managing Director, receiving global recognition with an award for “Best Shopper Based Design” from P & G’s GMMT (Global Metro Makro Team). During his time at Grey as Regional Integrated Communications Director, Michael successfully managed an integrated communications project for Pantene that won countless innovation awards including P&G’s coveted “President’s Award” for the most outstanding integrated campaign globally.
