MediaCom Australia picks up media business for Foxtel

The MediaCom Australia team has continued its winning run by picking up the media business for Foxtel, Australia’s leading pay-TV platform.The agency beat both ZenithOptimedia and UM in a competitive pitch to become media partner for News Corp-owned Foxtel.The Foxtel task was previously consolidated with Twentieth Century Fox and News Limited. Total spend across all three businesses is estimated to be $100m.The MediaCom team will now focus on working with Foxtel to persuade Australian consumers that its mix of movies, sport and entertainment provides them with the best audio-visual experience in the country.

“We are delighted to welcome MediaCom as our new national media agency. The quality and depth of their team will greatly enhance Foxtel’s capacity to tell its story of delivering a better entertainment experience,” said Foxtel Chief Executive Richard Freudenstein.

MediaCom has also picked up five other pieces of new business in the last three months. These include leading consumer health and personal care company PharmaCare Laboratories, SEEK, Australia’s favourite online employment brand, The Iconic, Australia’s online retailer, and retailer Chemist Warehouse.
