MediaCom announce key worldwide appointments

MediaCom Worldwide has announced several key appointments to further strengthen its network, following the appointment of Stephen Allan as Worldwide Chairman and CEO in August this year.

Doug Checkeris, CEO of MediaCom US, will also be taking on the regional leadership of North America, cohesively managing resources and strategy across the region. “Doug has been part of the MediaCom family for over 25 years having previously also led our Canada operations, which under his management developed into the largest and most successful media agency in the market,” said Stephen Allan.

“Doug’s appointment means our regional leadership is now complete, following Nick Lawson’s recent appointment as CEO of EMEA,” added Allan. “Another priority for me was to make sure that the network can live up to its goal of offering clients ‘Everything Everywhere” – all our services and tools in any territory. To do this, I’ve made some key new appointments expressly designed to ensure best practice across the network in terms of direct marketing, consumer insight and business science.”

“As ever, I’m delighted that all these appointments are existing MediaCom staff, underlining the depth of talent we have,” said Allan. “Further appointments that we’re making in the areas of client service, finance and marketing also draw on the existing pool of talent at MediaCom, ensuring continuity both in our culture and our offering to clients.”
