MEC wins HM’s media account in China and Hong Kong

MEC, a leading media agency, has announced that MEC China has won H&M’sfull service contract for mainland Chinaand Hong Kong. The contract covers both media planning and buying including traditional media, OOH and digital.

MEC won the contract after a four-waypitch with Optimedia, PHD and MediaCom.

H&Mis a Swedish retail-clothing company, famous for its fast-fashion clothing offerings for women, men, teenagers and children. It hasmore than 2,200 stores among 38 countries with around 87,000 employees. H&M opened their first store in Shanghai, China in 2007 and now has 41 stores among 15 cities.
Vivian Chen, Marketing Manager of H&M Chinasaid,“MEC’sunderstanding of the fashion business, their digital media recommendations and passion for our business, really impressed us.”

According to her, the perfect cross-market coordination between the China and Hong Kong officeswas another key reason for the selection of MEC.
