Marcus John is BBC Olympic Sponsorship commentator

On Monday (23rd July), Marcus John, head of MediaCom Sport, was interviewed by the BBC News Channel at its Olympic News Centre about advertising and sponsorship around the Olympics and its impact on brands.

Speaking about the strict Olympic advertising policy, which includes a ban on in-stadium advertising and using the Olympic trademark, Marcus suggested that companies should not be put off by the restrictions.

Marcus’ positivity is reinforced by the findings of MediaCom Sport’s latest project, which is running throughout the Olympics. MediaCom’s Sponsor Twitter Tracker ranks the top London 2012 sponsors’ success by measuring consumer sentiment towards them on Twitter.
