Limca Book of Records (LBR) , With the launch of its 2010 edition, has entered 22nd year of publication.
LBR Felicitates 7 Indian luminaries who have done India proud – including Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra, Rahul Dravid, former Indian Cricket Team Captain, Kiran Karnik, former President of NASSCOM and Padma Shree awardee, Anjolie Ela Menon, India’s leading contemporary female artist, Justice JS Verma, former Chief Justice of India and an eminent human rights activist, Dr Lalitha Regi, leading Gynecologist & Co-Founder of Tribal Health Initiative (NGO) and Sankara Netralaya, leading not-for-profit institution for eye care.
As a special gesture, Ramesh Babu (Holder of 39 Limca Book of Records since 1991) presented with 2 tickets for the FIFA World Cup™ 2010 Finals to be played in South Africa on July 11th, 2010.
The record book, first launched in 1990, features 10,000 awe-inspiring feats in its latest edition, out of which 6,000 are new records all describing the seemingly impossible achievements of Indians.
Plans for 2010 include organizing ‘Limca Book of Records Quiz 2010’ in 3,500 schools across 100 cities in India
Limca Book of Records 2010 (English) launched in two options – Hardcover, priced at Rs 490/- & Softcover priced at Rs 350/-. The Malayalam edition is priced at Rs 490 for hardcover and Rs 300/- for softcover. The Hindi edition (softcover) is priced at Rs 300/-.

New Delhi, 28th June, 2010 – Commemorating 21 glorious years of Limca Book of Records, Coca-Cola India today launched its 21st edition, Limca Book of Records 2010. The all-new edition especially catalogues extraordinary achievements of 7 Indians who have done India proud. The 7 “People of the Year” were chosen by an independent panel consisting of H.K. Dua, Member of Parliament and Prof. Dipankar Gupta.
With 21 refreshing and informative chapters, the 2010 edition of the record book celebrates over 10,000 remarkable achievements out of which 6,000 are new records, all showcasing extraordinary feats of Indians across the globe. The 21st edition of the record book was launched at a special event attended by the ‘People of the Year’, Atul Singh, President & CEO Coca-Cola India & South West Asia and Vijaya Ghose, Editor, Limca Book of Records.

As part of the launch of the 21st edition of Limca Book of Records, a special performance by the famous Prince Dance Troupe from Behrampur, Orissa – featured in the 2010 edition of Limca Book of Records 2010 as winners of the “India’s Got Talent” competition show – was organized.
The 21st avatar of Limca Book of Records incorporates achievements across 20 buzzing fields like Human Endeavour, Sports, Medical Science, Government, Painting etc.

As a special gesture, the Limca Book of Records also invited Ramesh Babu, holder of 39 Limca Book of Records to the special function. Featured over 15 times in the record book since 1991, Ramesh Babu was also amongst the 20 ‘People of the Year’ felicitated by the Record book in 2009. Recognizing his long association with the Limca Book of Records, Atul Singh, President & CEO Coca-Cola India & South West Asia presented two tickets of the FIFA World Cup 2010 Finals to be played in South Africa on July 11th, 2010.
